Olivia has been surrounded by music from an young age, growing up with both her father and grandfather engrossed in the music scene, as professional musicians with a passion for jazz, funk and soul .The soulful sounds of Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway became embedded from an early age, shaping Olivia’s musical endeavours from then on.  At age 10 she was introduced to the trumpet, but it wasn't until 6 years later when she was introduced to jazz, that she fell in love with playing. This is when she wholeheartedly devoted herself to a life in music. Discovering the likes of jazz and blues, Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Dr John, Lee Morgan and Ella Fitzgerald changed everything for her.

Graduating from Leeds Conservatoire in 2023, Olivia is now playing with her quintet, and other bands such as Mangorata, Ferg's Imaginary Big Band and Sunkissed Child. Jazz Matters says " Olivia Cuttill really is the “full package”. Her’s is a name we are all going to be hearing a lot in the coming years and I’m so glad to have caught her at the start of, what I have no doubt will be, a meteoric rise. Remember the name."
